Founded in 1976 by physicist David R.Kennedy, a University of London alumnus who contributed to the Saturn Rocket Project in Huntsville, Alabama, The Kennedy Company emerged from his innovative work on NASA's acoustic barriers. This initiative led to the establishment of the company. The business, currently situated on a 7-acre campus with 25,000 sq. ft. of production space in Scottsboro, Alabama, thrived under David's leadership.
Over the years, David, his daughter Sarah Kennedy Precise, and her husband Kenneth Precise have expanded the company, venturing into X-Ray Shielding products while upholding quality. In late 2021, The Kennedy Company became part of the Trivitron Group, a renowned multinational medical device conglomerate. With ongoing family involvement, Trivitron plans to bolster current operations, enhance manufacturing capacities, and establish a state-of-the-art Technology Park in Scottsboro, Alabama, dedicated to cutting-edge advancements.
