Who's Orient Watch?
"Orient Watch has always centered on mechanical watches, largely computerized watches using its own in-house computerized activities Orient was after area of the "Big Three" view companies in China along with Person and Seiko. In the 70s, when mechanical view companies faced hardship from the bulk introduction of cheap quartz watches, Person and Seiko needed the road of bulk providing quartz watches, Orient stuck in what it did best, creating mechanical watches."

Orient Watch was launched in Tokyo by Shogoro Yoshida, higher than a century ago in 1901. And though the world was a completely different position in the past, everybody still needed to know what time it was - much like today's world.
In these early view creating times, Orient Watch had some competition in the view business at home. Seiko and Person were big names in the view creating business, and for many years Orient was rated number 3 when it came to view companies.
