Extra Super Avana is a medication used to treat two male sexual health issues simultaneously: erectile dysfunction (ED) and premature ejaculation (PE). Extra Super Avana contains two active ingredients: avanafil and dapoxetine.
Avanafil (for Erectile Dysfunction): Avanafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, similar to other medications used to treat ED. It works by specifically targeting and inhibiting the PDE5 enzyme found primarily in the penile tissue. By inhibiting PDE5, avanafil increases the levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the penile tissue. Elevated cGMP levels cause the smooth muscles in the penile blood vessels to relax, leading to increased blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. This improved blood flow results in better erectile function, allowing men to achieve and maintain a firm erection suitable for sexual activity.
Dapoxetine (for Premature Ejaculation): Dapoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used to treat premature ejaculation. Premature ejaculation is a condition in which a man ejaculates too quickly during sexual activity, leading to unsatisfactory sexual experiences. Dapoxetine works by increasing the levels of serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that plays a role in regulating mood and emotions. By inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin, dapoxetine helps prolong the time it takes to ejaculate during sexual activity, effectively treating premature ejaculation.
