Tom Selleck is a renowned American actor and producer who has had a long and illustrious career in the entertainment industry. He first rose to prominence in the 1980s with his iconic portrayal of the private investigator Thomas Magnum in the hit television series "Magnum, P.I." After graduating from high school in 1962, Tom Selleck attended Los Angeles Valley College, where he studied business administration. However, Tom Selleck's true passion was acting, and he eventually dropped out of college to pursue a career in Hollywood.
Tom Selleck began his acting career in the early 1970s, appearing in a number of television commercials and small roles in television shows and movies. He made his first major television appearance in 1974 when he landed a recurring role on "The Young and the Restless," a popular daytime soap opera. However, it was his performance in the 1979 television movie "The Sacketts" that caught the attention of Hollywood producers.
