Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai and vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, is one of Dubai's wealthiest individuals, with an estimated net worth of $18 billion. Hussain Sajwani, chairman and founder of DAMAC Properties, a major UAE real estate developer with an estimated $3.5 billion net worth; and Abdullah Al Ghurair, chairman and founder of the Al Ghurair Group, a diversified conglomerate with interests in banking, manufacturing, and retail and a reported $5.9 billion net worth. Khalaf Al Habtoor, the Al Habtoor Group's founder and chairman, and Abdulla Al Futtaim, the Al-Futtaim Group's founder, are two other notable names on the list. The Al-Futtaim Group is a large Middle Eastern retail and real estate conglomerate.
