The government of Pakistan has stated in detail in an official Ministry of Information and Telecommunications (MOITT) document that it intends to launch 5G in the country by 2023. The launch will begin in Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore, Pakistan's three major cities.
However, the government predicts that only 4% of Pakistan's population will have access to 5G technology by 2025, and that 65% of people will still be using 4G. As a result, don't get too excited just yet.

Pakistan will begin using 5G in 2023, but only a very small number of connections will be made there in subsequent years.
Pakistan's mobile internet service is expanding, but it still has a long way to go. Mobile broadband usage reached 123 million last month, with 51 percent market penetration.
Every year, the percentage of mobile broadband users among all mobile subscribers continues to rise.
In 2019, the GSMA estimates that 50% of all mobile connections worldwide were made by 4G users. In low-middle income countries (LMICs), 82% of the population had a connection to 4G, while over 90% used 3G. It took these countries about 7 years to reach 80% coverage for 4G and 10 years for 3G.
It is abundantly clear that, over time, even low-income nations are accelerating their adoption of next-generation telecommunications technology. As a result, it is safe to assume that the introduction of 5G technology in Pakistan will take less time than that of 4G.
