Stopping for a few minutes and paying close attention to the television can teach us a lot about the power of effective advertising. A lot of advertisements use voiceovers, which are actors or voice specialists who not only read the script in front of them but also bring it to life with great expression.
How does this help us in the world of internet marketing? In today's world, interacting with potential customers is critical, which is why video squeeze pages are increasingly being used to collect their email addresses. But if the voiceover sounds like a deep sea diver who has been breathing Helium for the entire day, then none of this matters. Ingrid Voice Over
The voiceover artist has a significant impact on consumers in today's society. Take a look at some of Disney's animated films or Wallace and Gromit, which features Peter Sallis as Wallis, for additional evidence. They have been used to promote a wide range of products. Voiceover artists are probably used the most in the television and radio industries, and with good reason: it works.
So, how can we use this in internet marketing? We could hire other people to make voiceovers for our websites, but doing so could cost a lot of money because it can take as long as six hours to prepare a two-minute script for broadcast. That probably won't be possible for most internet marketers.
Doing it yourself would be an easy way around this. The English television character Dominic Littlewood is a wonderful one. Before seeing him as a popular television presenter, I first heard of him as a voiceover artist. This is the point I'm about to make. Although he speaks clearly and with emotion, despite his London accent, I'm confident that you could probably do the same.
Although it does require some effort, anyone can become a voice over artist. To ensure that your words come across clearly, you may need to alter your pronunciation. The simplest way to accomplish this is to use a computer or MP3 player to make a straightforward voice recording. You should record a commercial that you hear on the radio or television, type the words that make up the script, and then practice speaking the script to get the right inflections (the feelings that the voiceover artist used in the original commercial). At the outset, ensure that you emphasize the key words in the same way. Change how you pronounce some of the words once you've mastered the first script and pay close attention when you play it back. You will hear clearly why the original recording was made in the way it was.
Practice changing the shape of your mouth each time you have to be objective about what you hear by changing the sounds you make when you look in the mirror. You will be able to produce a sound of higher quality thanks to this, and you should always try to make the listener feel the emotion you are trying to convey.
