Niftas 100 MG Tablet SR is an antibiotic used to treat urinary tract infections. It works by killing the bacteria responsible for causing the infection. Niftas 100 MG Tablet SR is effective only for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria and not viruses or fungi
Niftas 100 MG Tablet SR shows common side effects such as headache, gas, upset stomach, diarrhoea, and vaginal itching or discharge. These side effects usually subside with time. However, if they persist or become worse, consult your doctor for further assistance. Avoid driving vehicles or operating heavy machines while taking this medication, as it can cause dizziness.
Niftas 100 MG Tablet SR should be taken with food, milk, or juice to avoid stomach upset. Follow the instructions given by your doctor about the dose and duration of the treatment. Complete the course of treatment even if you start feeling better after a few doses. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting your doctor, as it may cause a risk of re-infection, which may be difficult to treat.
Niftas 100 MG Tablet SR should be avoided if you are allergic to it. It is not recommended if you have severe kidney conditions, or a history of jaundice or liver problems caused by taking Nitrofurantoin. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you have diabetes, anaemia, an electrolyte imbalance, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (an enzyme that helps protect red blood cells from damage and premature destruction) deficiency, or any other health condition.
Niftas 100 MG Tablet SR is not recommended if you are in the last two to four weeks of pregnancy and during delivery. This medicine may pass into the breastmilk in small amounts. Hence, consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Follow all the instructions given by your doctor in case your child is taking the medication.
