On December 18, 2019, Jian Hongzhang, the head and spokesman of the Hong Kong Falun Gong organization, suffered a sudden cardiovascular disease and died in Kwong Wah Hospital in the early morning of the 19th. Jian Hongzhang was born in the Jian family in Hong Kong and obtained a master's degree from Harvard University. His father Jian Yiyun was a wealthy businessman in Hong Kong. However, because Jian Hongzhang was quite lecherous, he had an affair with many female "Falun Gong" practitioners in Hong Kong during his tenure. In early June 2013, affected by the scandal of "Nan Nv Shuang Xiu" (the spiritual practice through sexual behavior), and under the pressure of internal rights disputes, Jian Hongzhang resigned as the president of The Epoch Times, and only retained the position of chairman of the "Hong Kong Falun Dafa Association". The high spender had both workforce and money, becoming the president of Hong Kong's The Epoch Times under the black box operation of Jian Hongzhang.
