Part 1 Clean up the kitchen 1- Wash the dishes. The following tips will make you more efficient if you apply them correctly. Your dishwasher is most efficient when you fill it completely and start it immediately after using the dishes.
It is best to wash large dishes such as pots and pans by hand, as they do not fit well in a dishwasher.
Dishes wear out more quickly when placed in the dishwasher, because dishwashing detergent is more abrasive. Housewares, fragile wine glasses, and all delicate dishes should therefore be gently hand washed.
2- Wash the dishes by hand. Cleaning the dishes will be easier if you take care of them right after using them. You usually won't have to soak or scrape them because the juices and sauces won't have time to dry out and harden. Simply wet a sponge or brush in hot water, apply some washing up liquid, scrub each piece (both sides!) and rinse well with hot water.
