When this data is analyzed to see how Americans go about finding a potential date, studies show that many singles are increasingly finding each other by taking refuge in the world of online dating sites. Conducting a search using the popular search engine Google for instance, brings up more than fifty-nine million results. Indexed in those results are countless dating sites that have sprung up and ready to cater to the enormous market of singles-both the lustful and the lonely. The wide selection of ordinary contenders comes in many ethnicities and countless cultures, flavors and physical selections, as well. Some are free while others cost well into the hundreds of dollars.
Bucking the no frills trend of the mocospace chat current crop of dating websites, some free dating sites are taking advantage of the online dating rush by trying to outdo paid sites. They are also trying to distinguish themselves from other dating websites by offering certain features that are usually reserved for paying sites. The latest stats and data projections also tend to indicate a twiddling away of paid market share and rising figures for non-paid sites. This data also appears to show that singles are gravitating towards sites with better results and abandoning those sites that try to charm them with nothing but bells and whistles.
