"This is like Glastonbury, somehow," observed Jonathan Anderson as we dashed from frontstage to back at his show space in tonight's Moncler Genius launch event. As so often, he wasn't wrong.
Keep your eyes peeled on our IG to get a inside look. Exactly. First, a warm embrace. The best thing about winter is that you can layer, you can wear the coat you've been looking at all year.
Yeah! And I hadn't been anywhere in nature for maybe Moncler Jackets a year. Obviously preparing for the shoot is something stressful, making the collection is too. As part of the brand's Genius initiative Green was given free reign to develop a puffer - friendly capsule for the Italian brand. The pairing was, for all parties, intuitive: "The idea of protection and functionality are at the heart of what I think Moncler is, whilst also being something that I have always explored in my own work," Green tells GQ.
For some unexplained reason, DingYun Zhang hasn't bagged a squad number in Moncler's Genius roster for this, his first collaborative collection with the Italian house. Even if he is only loaning himself to the project for a single season, this was a cracking cameo.
Out this week, Craig Green's latest collection in collaboration with Moncler's www.monclersoutlets.com Genius project was made a little differently. He usually commutes to Milan monthly; this time he was restricted to only one visit.
This season's new additions are Matthew Williams of 1017 Alyx 9SM and London phenom Richard Quinn; returning are Craig Green, Simone Rocha, Francesco Ragazzi of Palm Angels, Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment, Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino, as well as Moncler 1952's Sergio Zambon and Moncler Grenoble's Sandro Mandrino. And there are no puffer jacket - sized boundaries on what they can create.
