MONCLER's MONDOGENIUS fashion show took place this past weekend, bringing together designers and musicians from around the world in a seamless, immersive digital presentation that celebrated innovative luxury outerwear. With Milan as its main hub, and 15 - time GRAMMY Award - winning singer, songwriter, and producer Alicia Keys as its host, MONDOGENIUS took viewers from around the world on a live journey through the minds behind MONCLER and its most recent collaborations.
If Alyx is known for one thing, it's for its hardware: for its "rollercoaster" buckle, for its pseudo - tactical chest rigs, for its general belief that a garment is not complete until it's got something dense and awesome dangling from or attached to it. Naturally, Alyx gear is all over the Moncler Jackets genius collection.
There was plenty of down, too, which in Williams' hands was made into oversized parkas and slim - fitting chest harnesses. Williams also developed Moncler's very first garment - dyed down jacket, accessorized by custom versions of Alyx's signature buckle clasp.
Think of it as a nap dress for contemporary aesthetes, with swirling chartreuse stitching and pierrot collars www.monclersoutlets.com trimmed in azure ruffles. As if to underscore his remote status the designer imprinted the home address of Moncler on Milan's Via Stendhal (they have the best staff buffet), which contrasts with the flippable WOM (World of Moncler) graphic.
Yesterday, sales for the 1,150 "Maya" jacket were more than double their usual as per Moncler company spokesman Domenico Galluccio, which is pretty crazy considering just how wack the jacket is. But, apparently, people want to look just like Drake and will actually shell out the cash to cop the look.
