Winter ushers in one of my favorite times of year: Parka Season. Unfortunately, here in Chicago the temperatures have only briefly dipped below 35, which in my opinion does not make it cold enough to finally break out the parka. My fellow UChicago students appear to feel very differently about this matter as parkas appeared all across campus the first day below 50.

Hoping to expand the American market too, Canada Goose gave out their parkas in movie sets and film festivals. As some American consumers began to discover the brand's parkas in the high - end department stores in Europe and spotted them on Hollywood stars, Canada Goose increased its brand awareness significantly in the US in the early 2010s. However, it wasn't until the parka's appearance on the cover of the "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue" in 2013 that the brand's popularity exploded.

At the podium stood David Cronenberg and Viggo Mortensen. I remember it so clearly: They were addressing the press about their latest film, and I was craning my neck to see them both; all the attention in the room was on them, and I was thinking, "I wish one day I get to work on a movie with them." A few years later, that wish came true, as I was cast in the film A Dangerous Method. The following September, I stepped out onto one of my first red carpets, to hundreds of screaming fans, a rapid succession of flashbulbs Canada Goose Sale and people screaming my name.

Canada Goose products are fashionable, point blank. Any item that sets the industry standard deserves to be recognized as such. But well off college students wearing these jackets on 50 degree days indicate their status as a fad among this demographic.
