Gun safe fire ratings means very little. They're not exactly made up out of thin air, but close to it. The protection per dollar offered by most gun safes is low. Readers on a limited budget will be better off with the many gun safe alternatives, or buying a cheap gun safe and taking steps to make it more secure.
