I sort of missed the acbells older games (just played a bit of New Leaf), but watching Jaiden Animations' video on Animal Crossing definitely made me like their old personalities more.
Step 1, and it's a trivial step, would be to massively lower the weighting of this"I saw you burying bells/hitting rocks/shaking trees/fishing/watering blossoms yesterday"Ours in the old games.
I am one of those individuals. Got tired of this game around 150 hours. Just too much friction with the crafting system, too much content cut to be trickled later in upgrades, and also much of this character of prior installments is gone. I enjoyed the string for the simulation elements greater than the customization, and NH was certainly not made for gamers like me.
What do you consider to be trimmed content/missing beyond gyroids?
And 150 hours is -a lot. - I don't mean to be a ass, it is just difficult to fathom someone placing significantly more time in previous entries for reasons beyond it was just a fresher experience in the moment, or other circumstances.
In addition, I don't want to dismiss your preferences, but I just can not personally observe the things that created previous entries magnitudes better. I feel like I've stuck with NH for much longer then NL or WW.
Then that complaint also applies to the other games except possibly the original. I also feel as though people are missing/ignoring the new dialog added every month ingame and the fact that villagers will typically say something unique if you talk to them over 2-3 times. It's not like old games didn't have the difficulties of dialog repeating villagers of the identical kind feeling like the same individual.
The situational dialog the first 2-3 times is cheap Animal Crossing Bells certainly the worst aspect of talking to villagers and probably why folks believe they don't have any personality. The humorous and intriguing dialog being concealed behind it makes it so tedious sometimes. I don't care that someone watched me burying cash again , I want to hear about your wacky antics!
