As with most online OSRS gold games, RuneScape sees countless numbers of streamers playing at any time.Phishers have begun leveraging these streams for their benefit by establishing bogus streams with phishing links in their description. What some victims might not realize is these streams are in reality just listed videos, often taken from prior streams of the impersonated individual with some additional text added on the video, asking them to inspect the description or follow a link.

Some frequent phishing techniques found in these streams comprise:Giveaway -- Using known wealthy players's name and supplying their banks.Double XP -- Victims are guaranteed experience points along with other in-game benefits, with articles frequently emulating the official game developers.Quitting -- we're advised a known wealthy participant is quitting and giving away all of their items/gold.

Phishers also often disable the chat in their fake streams for everyone but subscribers. This means viewers that cover a monthly subscription into the flow, which prevents real viewers from talking the phishing stream.

Fake streamers are also known to Buy Rs gold junk the conversation with bot accounts, which makes it much more challenging to read messages from real people. Here are screenshots from Twitch.tv -- a popular live streaming website -- where phishers set up streams with thousands of bogus viewers.
