Gemstones will be Maplestory M Mesos the absolute worst part of the rng, the % odds are only absurd and the sum you can do them is demoralizingly minuscule, about 4 attempts a week that will likely all neglect and all you can do is just grind treva or guild coins for perhaps 2-3 more attempts if you grind for the whole week nonstop which is only crazy, socketing I think its largely fine except for your 500k meso fee on getting accessories that's just too much in my own opinion.
It's a massive rng meso sink which will just drive you bankrupt because you were unlucky, the worst part is that gems are actually necessary for raids outside cdev due to the absurd hp raise the supervisors obtained. When you shove fail after neglect after fail to your own players they just get demoralized and quit, doesn't help there is
literally no point in getting better gear, no satisfaction for anything you do, all you can do it just chat with friends, shame everyone is simply asocial in this sport so nobody speaks, you never find an actual communal guild, they're all super attempt hard and really unfun, someone I understand reached rank 1 in cdev clears for a while, got recruited in a try hard guild and that only made them quit. ?
Its funny, once I saw this declared and Maple M Mesos eventually launching after teasing it for years, I was determined NOT TO PLAY. I associate and bot population and games. Every game I've played with bot counters that are inadequate and a horribly skewed exploitation variable. Yet I have hauled into the match anyway, and was horrified as someone who had completed beta localization for MS1.
