Can Blizz release the PvP ranking system as it was implemented in wow classic gold Vanilla? As somebody who had been around back then, and without needing to get too hand-wringy, I feel that the ranking system itself encouraged some fairly unhealthy behaviors. That top position took months of constant grinding, and I mean constant, 10 to 12 hours a day, to the stage where folks were not even functioning properly and everything out of that honor grind had been excluded. There were items in WoW Classic which you had to sacrifice your wellbeing and life outside of WoW Classic to obtain.
Combine this with the fact that missing a single day could put you back a full week of progress and you've got some pretty bad mojo going on.It could be argued that the Vanilla PvP honor rating system attested lots of the negative perceptions concerning the MMO scene along with video game addiction in general at the time. It would be an error to reinstate it.
I started playing with WoW Classic like a few months. I would not call my self old college or a vanilla participant but damn even when I began playing WoW Classic has been alot more fun than it currently is. I didn't really care about this particular WoW Classic release till yesterday. I am actually hyped to play this. We see more staff work in the world and much more player connections. Folks rarely up group to do anything and seldom speak to each other. Ive gone multiple days where il attempt to begin convos with gamers and its like trying to begin a conversation using a NPC.
I wonder if they'll execute this OSRS that is similar to how Jagex does. Allow the players vote on polls for QOL updates, and after all phases cleared and of articles have been introduced, vote on WoW Classic exclusive articles to be inserted. There are a couple large ones that I think should be changed, such as warrior taunts being able to miss and particular classes just being plain unplayable. Changes could fix some of those issues, and the player base will quit seeing these things through nostalgia goggles and only become irritated and want them to be repaired. Give everyone a few months of nostalgia that is gold in wow classic pure , then fix some of the things.
