Its not the issue that it has microtransactions. Its a mobile game you practically expect it, but there's also a line between having too many microtrasactions that I think this crosses.I had this argument back in ESOM Gold the days of $5 reservations at game stores. Dlc was birthed by that. Subsequently preorders. People buying games before they're even finished developing..gave birth to microtransactions. It is disgusting. The near future of gaming looks bad. We predicted all this microtransaction shit years until it began and we predicted games would become $59 foundation shells and make you buy all the courage. It is all headed toward subscription based gambling.
Todd can ride the Bethesda title that is mythical for so long. If he continues on this course, he will find nothing but tragedy waiting for him once the market is saturated in trash games such as these, and Bethesda becomes much less competitive as a result of it. To put it simply: unless the marketplace develops, the participant base for these kinds of games is only likely to thin out much farther than it already has. Bethesda is loved by me and also have faith in Todd vision for the corporation. To remain profitable it must adapt, I get that. I just hope he doesn't forget his roots and push away the people that drove Bethesda into the heights it can afford to take for granted.
The fact you believe a mobile game cost millions to make is beyond retarded. Millions is, although at a few hundred thousand. Promotion on social media is really pretty cheap, that's why you see so many advertisements for cellular games. The one thing I can warrant here is the payment of the devs. Legal material doesnt count with mobile programs (how you're talking of it)? At this point, the abomination known as ESB is no more Pay-to-win, as you basically should throw cash into inventory space AND chests constantly in order to even play past a certain degree. This is just getting worse as people pay into it and establish Bethesda RIGHT for making this dreadful decision.To The Elder Scrolls Blades Gold whomever reads this: If you spend money on microtransactions, you are hurting the gambling industry and real players that care about balance and fair business practice have zero respect for you.
