I play with franchise mode 90% of their time, its the reason I buy MLB The Show 19, it could also be why I wont be buying this years. I dont want to play 162 games per season, I enjoy you try to play 1 match from Buy MLB 19 Stubs each series or one against division rivals. I like the element of handling the players, trading players and building a farm system. I get through a year just fine. 2K sports is doing this right now and is way before mlb and nhl games.I wont be drama MOT at all, dont seem to interest me. Possibly a new game every two years with patches and upgrades in between is your thing to do. This is simply a cash grab at this point.For MLB The Show 19 purists,franchise style as now constructed the only way to go. I play my teams entire schedule everyday. The full 45 to 60 minutes,don't care how long.March into October is just a gimmick.Should this been the norm then I'm from here. NO more MLB for me personally. Every other manner except franchise is just a gimmick.
I enjoy franchise mode the way it is. Maybe mixing at the option of march to october features inside. But I play Franchise through numerous seasons. Playing a good part of MLB The Show 19. A lot of them. But doing the off season stuff and rolling in the following season. Building team, trades, free agencey, contracts, etc.. . Also attempting to receive my players to get or beat records. . So I dont want to lose franchise. I'd like to see it updated a bit with additional features, more in game personalisation. Park reactions, on field personalities, guest commentary. More realistic developments. I am a fan of the franchise. Also maybe add a little more narrative line cut scenes for it such as NBA 2K. Or Live. They 100% undoubtedly have to do this with RTTS... This should have been done a couple of years back. Such as the NBA Games have been performing...
I play with franchise mode much like yourself. Seasons take me a long time to get through but constructing a franchise through the draft and FA is exactly what I enjoy most. I typically make two different franchises though, one being a reconstruct team and another being a group that is near contention for the playoffs in the initial year. I either make trades to set them on the top or a created player that affects a group, like a 2018 Ronald Acuna Jr or 2017 Aaron Judge. I'd like them to include all the bells and whistles into franchise mode will create the"March to October" feature an add on option that the user can turn on or off at any point. Maybe a best of MLB The Show 19 Stubs both worlds?
