If you're flying out of Charlotte, the Charlotte Douglas International Airport Check-in process is usually pretty straightforward, but it helps to know what to expect before you arrive. I always recommend checking in online through your airline's app or website before heading to the airport. It can save time and lets you have your boarding pass ready on your phone.
If you have checked luggage, you'll still need to stop at the airline's baggage drop or check-in counter. If you're traveling with only a carry-on, you may be able to head straight toward security after checking in online.
One thing I would definitely suggest is arriving early. The airport can get busy, especially during early morning departures, weekends, holidays, and other peak travel periods. Giving yourself extra time means you won't have to worry if security lines are longer than expected.
